How JobPin’s freshness labels work
JobPin groups listings by the posting date supplied by the provider. These labels do not establish that an employer is hiring, has reviewed applications, or can start you immediately.
The four posting-date labels
What does "New today" mean?
The provider posting date is within the last 24 hours.
What does "Hiring now" mean?
The provider posting date is more than 24 hours and up to 3 days old. It does not measure hiring urgency or employer activity.
What does "Updated recently" mean?
The provider posting date is more than 3 days and up to 7 days old. It does not mean the employer refreshed or checked the listing.
What does "Recently checked" mean?
The provider posting date is more than 7 days old or is missing. Despite the label, it does not mean JobPin checked with the employer.
Verify the opening before you apply
Open the employer’s own careers page and check the role, location, pay, hours and application steps. Ask the employer about availability and the start date. Immediate-start wording alone is not proof of a real opening; never pay to apply or send money to a recruiter.

Next-step FAQ
Choose a category and city, then verify each source posting.
After learning freshness labels, where should I look first?
Open the strongest category hubs first, then narrow into city pages where you can realistically apply today. Freshness matters most when the role is also a real fit.
Which category-city pages are best for fresh hiring-now searches?
Start with pages where your category, commute, and schedule are realistic. If one city is thin, compare a nearby high-volume city before widening to unrelated work.
Should I use job fairs along with hiring-now pages?
Yes. Hiring-now pages help you apply early online, while job fairs help you confirm which employers are actively speaking with candidates in person.
