Remote Jobs With No Experience: Which Postings Take Beginners, Where You Can Live, and What You Would Take Home

Few remote jobs take true beginners. Of eight employer pages read November 1, 2026, three set no experience bar, and one of those needs French. The rest asked for 6 months to 2 years. Check your state first, because many exclude whole states. Last reviewed November 1, 2026.

Who takes beginners, and who does not

No government source counts how many remote jobs take beginners, so this page gives no percentage. Here is what employers said on their own sites on November 1, 2026. Postings close fast, so search each careers site for your state.

No experience bar stated:

Job Employer page Pay stated The catch
At-home associate TTEC work-from-home FAQ Not stated there Age 17 or older, diploma or GED. Part-time, 20 hours a week minimum. Weekends and holidays required. Your own Windows PC
Licensed insurance rep, Remote Texas and Remote Florida Foundever, Req 417568 $17 to $18 in training, starting at $19 1 year of customer service is "preferred." Age 18 or older. You must earn a state license. Foundever pays for it, under a "licensing repayment agreement"
Roadside assistance agent U-Haul, R238761 $17.50 base Must be fluent in English and French. Shifts run overnight or evening, Arizona time

Job Employer page Pay stated What it asks
Remote customer service rep Conduent, Remote US $14.00 6 months of call center, customer service or dispatch work
Medicaid call center associate Conduent, must live in Kansas, starts January 4, 2027 $16.25, bilingual $16.75 6 months of customer service. Type 28 to 30 words a minute
Service advocate CVS Health, R1055334 $17.00 to $34.15 range for the job grade 1 year of customer service. Also lists "Prior remote work experience"
Account resolution specialist Foundever, Req 417856 $18.00 QuickBooks experience required, plus customer service work
Sales appointment setter TTEC, Remote USA $18.50 plus bonus 2 or more years of contact center work, and sales or quota experience

Amazon's careers site also describes a remote customer service associate who answers "phone, chat and/or email," with free on-the-job training. Its page does not state pay or experience, so search by your zip code.

If you have never held a customer-facing job, the honest move is to get six months of one first. Conduent counts "call center, customer service, or dispatch." The job titles you see online, checked

Lists of "no experience remote jobs" repeat the same titles. This is what we found for each on November 1, 2026.

Scroll horizontally to view every column.

Title What we found What to do
Phone customer service Real. It is most of what the tables above show Start here if you have customer contact work
Chat or email only Amazon names chat and email along with phone. We read no chat-only posting Ask which channel you would work. Do not assume no calls
Data entry The two Conduent data entry postings we read were on-site or hybrid in Lexington, KY Read the data entry reality check
Transcription Real, but paid per audio minute as freelance work Do the math first. It is on the same page
Virtual assistant No entry-level employer posting read. The FTC warns that scammers post fake virtual assistant jobs Treat any unsolicited offer as a scam until proven real
Content moderation No entry-level remote US posting confirmed Left out. Check any offer on the employer's own site
Sales or appointment setting TTEC asks for 2 or more years of contact center work Not a beginner job at the posting read

Check your state before you apply

"Remote" does not mean anywhere. Employers name states they will not hire in, and they do not say why, so this page does not guess.

Scroll horizontally to view every column.

If you live in Conduent remote rep TTEC appointment setter Foundever licensed rep
Texas Not hiring Not on its restricted lists Listed as Remote, Texas
Florida Not hiring Only on "special business need" Listed as Remote, Florida
California Not hiring Not hiring No listing seen

Conduent's remote rep posting, posted September 25, 2026, is not hiring in AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, GA, HI, FL, IL, ME, MD, MA, MS, MT, NJ, NY, OR, RI, TX, VT, WA, DC and Minneapolis. TTEC's appointment setter posting is not hiring in AK, CA, HI, IL or MT. It considers AZ, CO, FL, LA, ME, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, OR, WA and DC only on special business need.

Some jobs go the other way. Conduent's Kansas job requires you to live in Kansas, so also search your own state's name plus "remote" on employer sites.

What screens you out

Most of these come before you talk to anyone. Each is stated on the employer's page, read November 1, 2026.

Scroll horizontally to view every column.

Screen Who states it What to do
Online tests TTEC: skills and behavior tests. Fail, and you may re-apply in 60 days. Working Solutions: tests and a short video interview, "can only be completed once." U-Haul: "Tech Skills + Game" Take them rested, on the real computer. Remote interview tips
PC and internet scan TTEC: scan needs your computer wired to your router. Working Solutions: a scanner checks system, speed and wired link Run it before you buy anything. Equipment and costs
Record and credit TTEC: criminal screening after an offer, and a drug screen for some jobs. Conduent: "background check, credit check, and security fingerprinting" Read background checks explained
Training Conduent: 3 paid weeks, with an 80% quiz average. Foundever stresses attendance during training, with "open availability" Do not start if you cannot attend all of it
Home TTEC: "completely noise-free." CVS: private space and "reliable dependent care" Parents, read remote jobs for parents first

What you would take home

Scroll horizontally to view every column.

Job Hours Gross SS and Medicare Federal tax Take-home
Conduent remote rep, $14.00 40 $560.00 $42.84 $25.28 $491.88
Conduent Kansas, $16.25 40 $650.00 $49.73 $36.08 $564.19
Foundever account resolution, $18.00 40 $720.00 $55.08 $44.48 $620.44
TTEC minimum hours, at $18.50 for scale 20 $370.00 $28.31 $6.04 $335.65

Assumptions: single filer, standard W-4, paid weekly, IRS Publication 15-T (2026), and Social Security and Medicare at 7.65%. No state income tax. TTEC's FAQ does not state at-home pay, so the last row uses its posted appointment setter rate to show what 20 hours looks like. Add your internet bill and any gear to the cost.

For scale, customer service reps earn a $21.53 national median, with the 10th percentile at $15.27 (BLS OEWS, May 2025). Conduent's $14.00 sits below that 10th percentile. See pay benchmarks for your metro.

Be honest about the odds. In September 2026, 13.1% of office and administrative support workers teleworked all their hours, and 76.5% did not telework at all (BLS Table A-42). So keep an in-person search going while you apply.

Read the license deal. Foundever pays for licensing but says employment is "subject to a licensing repayment agreement," reviewed during hiring. Ask how much you would owe if you left, and for how long, before you sign.

Start this week

  1. Today. Take the remote fit quiz, and read what remote work is really like. Then write down what you truly have: computer type, memory, wired internet, a door that closes, care for kids.
  2. Tomorrow. Search three employers' own careers sites for your state. Skip any job that excludes your state or needs experience you lack.
  3. Next. Run the employer's own tech check if it offers one. Do not buy gear until you pass or are told what is missing.
  4. Then. Apply to two. Keep the posting's experience line and pay in your notes.
  5. If nothing fits. A free American Job Center can help you find a first customer-facing job, and that job is what opens these doors. CareerOneStop's helpline is 1-877-872-5627.

How to verify a listing

Every opening on JobPin links to its source posting. Open it, then find the same job on the employer's own careers site and match the title, pay and state list. Conduent says it uses only conduent.com for email, will not request money or banking details, and will not ask you to buy equipment to start. Stop if anyone says otherwise. FAQ

Can I get a remote job with no experience?

Sometimes, but it is the harder path. Of eight employer pages read November 1, 2026, three set no experience bar. TTEC's FAQ is the broadest of them, and it asks for age 17 or older and a diploma or GED.

How much do entry-level remote jobs pay?

Pay stated on these pages ran from $14.00 to $19.00 an hour to start, with one CVS range running from $17.00 to $34.15 for the job grade. At $14.00 and 40 hours, take-home is about $492 a week after federal taxes.

Can I work remote from any state?

No. Conduent's remote rep posting excludes 22 states, DC and Minneapolis. TTEC's appointment setter posting excludes five states and limits 12 more and DC. Check the posting's state list before you apply.

Are there remote jobs in Texas, Florida or California?

Yes, but it depends on the employer. Foundever lists jobs as Remote, Texas and Remote, Florida. Conduent's remote rep posting excludes all three states. TTEC's appointment setter posting excludes California.

Do remote jobs provide a computer?

Some do. Conduent's remote rep posting says "Company equipment provided." TTEC and U-Haul expect your own Windows computer. The full list is on our equipment page.

Is training paid?

At employers, usually yes. TTEC says all training is paid, Foundever states 100% paid training, and Conduent states 3 paid weeks. Contractor platforms work differently, so ask before you start.

How do I know a "no experience" remote job is real?

Find the same job on the employer's own careers site. The FTC says offers of a lot of money for little work are "almost certainly" a scam. Real employers do not charge you to get hired.
